How much does JoinYourTrip cost as a TripMate?

JoinYourTrip does not charge TripMates (travelers) for using the platform to discover and join trips. However, TripMates are required to pay for their trip expenses, including accommodation, transportation, activities, and any other costs associated with the trip. The price of each trip varies depending on factors such as destination, duration, activities included, and accommodation options. TripMates can view trip details and pricing information on the JoinYourTrip platform before booking a trip.


How can I find the perfect trip?

Click here to browse through all the trips and filter them to make finding the best trip easy. If you can't find your dream trip, think about offering a trip as a TripCaptain yourself. We are happy to support you with the planning and the organization. Simply message us on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or via e-mail at info@joinyourtrip.com.


Can I ask questions before booking a trip?

On JoinYourTrip, TripMates have the option to seek clarifications and information about trips before booking. They can access the platform's FAQ section, which offers answers to commonly asked questions regarding trip details, booking procedures, payment methods, and cancellation policies. If their query is not addressed in the FAQ section, TripMates can reach out to the JoinYourTrip support team for further assistance. Through email or a contact form provided on the platform, TripMates can communicate their inquiries directly to the support team, who will promptly respond with relevant information. This system allows TripMates to gather all necessary details and make informed decisions about joining a trip, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.


How do I book a trip?

Booking a trip on JoinYourTrip is a seamless process designed to make travel planning easy and convenient. To begin, simply browse through the available trips on the platform, filtering by destination, dates, or activities to find the perfect match for your preferences. Once you've found a trip that catches your interest, delve into its details, including the itinerary, pricing, and inclusions, provided by the TripCaptain. After ensuring the trip's availability for your desired dates, proceed to reserve your spot by clicking on the `Book Now` or `Reserve Your Spot` button. Follow the prompts to provide necessary information, such as the number of participants, and finalize your booking. Secure payment options are available for your convenience, ensuring a smooth transaction process. Upon completing your booking, you'll receive a confirmation via email or through the platform, containing all the pertinent details of your reservation. Now, all that's left is to prepare for your upcoming adventure, communicating with the TripCaptain for any additional information and making necessary arrangements. With JoinYourTrip, booking your dream trip is just a few clicks away, setting the stage for an unforgettable travel experience.


Does the TripCaptain travel with us?

Yes, your TripCaptain will, of course, come along on the trip! After all, they are responsible for the organization and planning of the trip


Is the full amount required to be paid at once for booking a trip?

Yes, currently, you are required to pay the full amount upfront for your trip reservation.


What exactly is included in the cost per TripMate?

The price quoted by the TripCaptain includes local transportation and accommodation cost, not transportation to the starting and end points of the trip. Depending on the trip, local activities may also be included in the price. Just ask your TripCaptain directly. They'll be happy to help!


Is the flight included in the price?

No, the flight is not included. To find affordable flights, we recommend using MakeMyTrip, Skyscanner and Momondo. By checking all three of these services, you should be able to find 99% of all available flights.


Is JoinYourTrip a tour operator?

No, JoinYourTrip doesn't arrange trips. We are a booking platform that allows everyone to offer and join group trips. We are happy to support TripCaptains with the planning and organization of their trips but, at the end of the day, it’s the TripCaptain's trip. As a TripMate, you travel with your TripCaptain, not with JoinYourTrip.


Can I only book a part of a trip?

That depends on your TripCaptain. Simply send them a message and ask directly. For some trips, this is easier than for others.


Are the trips guaranteed to take place?

As with any group trip, the TripCaptain may not find enough TripMates. However, a lot of times trips take place with fewer people than originally planned. For more details, you can ask your TripCaptain directly.


What happens if the TripCaptain gets sick?

If a TripCaptain gets sick or is otherwise prevented from going on the trip, this is first and foremost not at all nice for them. We are sure that they would like to start the trip as much as you do; if not more. We, at JoinYourTrip, will do everything we can to find a suitable replacement. If our search is unsuccessful, we will see if a team member of JoinYourTrip can travel with your group as a TripCaptain. After all, we love what we do -- traveling! If all else fails, we will take on as many TripCaptain duties as we can -- organize accommodation, find directions, make suggestions for activities, etc. We’ll even pay for a local SIM card for you, so that you can always reach us. Of course, the trip can be canceled. Please see the section "Cancelation Policy". We will support you as best as we can and make the process as easy as possible.


How safe is it to travel with JoinYourTrip?

Safety is our top priority. Every TripCaptain has to verify their phone number and identity with us by uploading an ID or passport. Plus, we screen each TripCaptain (see FAQ "Who can become a TripCaptain"), check each trip individually before it goes online and are in direct contact with the TripCaptains. Most importantly, our community protects you. We screen all the TripMates in your group. If there is a problem, we will definitely intervene remotely. If you still have any doubts, please contact us.


How can I cancel a booking?

You can easily request a full refund within 7 days after booking through your dashboard. After this period, if you wish to cancel, you'll need to connect with support and may incur some cancellation charges payable to the TripCaptain.

How do I pay the trip cost?

Quite simply, paying for the trip happens via our platform. This allows you to pay securely with credit card (Visa or MasterCard), or UPI.
